Au-Pair Study Centre (Dublin Sud)
|
Annalivia School works alongside our sister company the Au-Pair Study Centre (APSC) to provide Au-Pair Placement and courses serving the South Dublin.
She wanted to create an agency that would ensure that the family understood what it means to have an ‘additional’ member in the household and the need to create a working and personal relationship with the Aupair based on co-operation and mutual respect. By being sensitive to both the needs of the Aupairs and the families and matching the right girl with the right family, she found a formula for success. This success is reflected in the fact that the Centre has grown into one of the largest placement agencies in Dublin.
As a partner of Annalivia School, the Centre also organises English Courses for the Aupairs. It offers high quality small group courses at a reasonable fee. The maximum number of students in the group is limited to 12 creating a relaxed learning environment in which optimum progress can be made. It also allows the teacher to deal with the particular language problems of the students as they arise in class as there is a proper amount of teacher-student contact time. We also encourage our Aupair students to take Cambridge or TIE exam courses because it gives them a serious educational objective as well as an Internationally recognised Certificate which will enhance their Curriculum Vitae and their employment prospects. This reflects an awareness that English is an increasingly important language in the International market-place and that many Aupairs come to Ireland with the specific motivation of gaining a degree of fluency in English.
Of course the Centre is also there to offer support and help should there be any problems with the family. Our most obvious advantage is that we are based here in Dublin and are readily contactable and can respond to any situation immediately. However we would like to say that we rarely encounter problems as we have an agreement to be signed by both the prospective Aupair and the family which specifies work schedules, free time, pocket money and any other relevant information.
